About the Department of Dentistry
The Department of Dentistry at RKDF Medical College Hospital & Research Centre, Bhopal provides oral and dental care for outpatients and admitted patients, covering routine check-ups, oral hygiene guidance, restorations, extractions, management of dental infection and oral-lesion screening. The dental OPD supports patients referred from General Medicine, ENT, Paediatrics and Obstetrics & Gynaecology, and provides pre-operative dental clearance where required. The department also participates in oral-health awareness and screening activities in the hospital’s field practice area, and contributes to undergraduate teaching on oral manifestations of systemic disease, tobacco-related lesions and appropriate referral, in keeping with the NMC competency-based curriculum.
