About the Department of Radio-Diagnosis
The Department of Radio-Diagnosis at RKDF Medical College Hospital & Research Centre, Bhopal provides diagnostic imaging support across every clinical department, using X-ray, ultrasound, colour Doppler and CT scanning to guide diagnosis, treatment planning and follow-up for outpatients, inpatients and emergency cases. Imaging services run alongside the emergency and trauma units and include routine and portable radiography, abdominal and obstetric ultrasound, Doppler studies and image-guided procedures where indicated, with structured reporting and radiation-safety protocols as per prescribed regulatory requirements; ultrasound services are provided in accordance with the PC-PNDT Act. Undergraduate teaching follows the NMC competency-based curriculum and covers choice of imaging modality, radiation protection, systematic reading of chest, abdominal and skeletal radiographs and correlation of imaging with clinical findings, taught through postings, demonstrations and radiology-clinical correlation meetings.
